Fairtrade certifies products meeting stringent ethical and sustainability standards, such as fair pricing and responsible production. Skanvin do not hold a Fairtrade certificate as only those operators taking legal ownership of a Fairtrade product are required to become Fairtrade certified.

As service operator handling and providing a service on a Fairtrade product Skanvin do not need to apply for their own certification but need to be registered as an “additional entity” on the certificate of the product owner.
